Cheliss has trained as a student with Katherine Sanders since before Downtown Dance opened in 2011, and has been teaching both children and adult classes at the studio since Spring term of 2012. She has contributed choreography to the studio's June Showcase each year since.
JENNA MOSER: Lyrical Jazz and Contemporary Repertory Group
Jenna wanted to be an ice skater so her parents enrolled her in ballet at the age of six. She took ballet, jazz, tried gymnastics, performed on her High School Dance Team, and finally went back to ballet while enrolled at Western Oregon University. At WOU, she was a guest dancer with Rainbow Dance Theater for three years and performed with them, including an opportunity to perform at the American College Dance Festival. After college, she continued ballet and performed in productions of Raymonda and La Bayadere. In 2013 she became a coach of the Philomath HS Dance Team and continued for four years teaching technique in that setting.
In the spring of 2014, she took her first class at Downtown Dance and never left. She started with Lyrical Jazz, then eventually joined Contemporary. Jenna began teaching the Adult Lyrical Jazz class in 2016 and the teen Contemporary Repertory Group in 2017. (She was never an ice-skater, but she's glad to have found dance.)
